What can I do to help?

There are a number of things that you can do to help. The easiest way to get involved is to start promoting our events to others at your university by doing any or all of the following:

– Send emails out about the event

– Design and put up posters

– Write blog posts

– Get the event advertised through the Uni

– Write on our Facebook wall

– Ask your lecturer to discuss the event or give a brief presentation before an event

– Tweet about our events

You could also help out at events by greeting new members.

How much time is required?

We have on average 1-2 events a month, so if you could spend 30 mins marketing the event it would be great. The sky is the limit though, should you wish to get more involved you’d be welcome. Plus the more you day, the better it will look on your CV.

How do I get involved?

You can start right now. Log on to the GDC site –– to see our latest events or get in touch with Barry Cranford ( or Adam Markham ( Once you have started promoting events just let us know and we’ll add you to the GDC Ambassadors mailing list.
